About us

Merlin's Magic Wand has been set up by the Merlin Entertainments Group ("Merlin") to provide magical experiences at its attractions. We aim to give children who are seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged the opportunity to enjoy attractions that they may otherwise not have been able to.

An international charitable trust

Merlin’s Magic Wand has been established as a charitable trust and is registered with the UK Charities Commission, registration number 1124081.

Merlin's Magic Wand Trustees Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales with Registered Number 06511344. The registered office is located at 3 Market Close, Poole, Dorset BH15 1NQ.

The Charity is run by a Board of Directors (Andrew Carr, Colin Armstrong and Adrian Mahon) who administer the funds and grant awards. Awards may be made in any of the countries in which Merlin operates.

Merlin's commitment

Merlin has made an initial commitment of £100,000 to the Charity and has also donated 5,000 free tickets to its attractions for such children, with free admission for parents or helpers accompanying them. The donation and free tickets together are worth up to £300,000.

Merlin will also be supporting the Charity with other fundraising activities at their attractions during the year, including initiatives by employees at all Merlin locations and activities with guests.
